Baby Abbey has Arrived!!

Yeah, she is finally here and we are so excited about our new little girl!! Abbey was born on Tuesday, October 13th at 1:25 in the afternoon. She weighed 6 lbs. and 14 ozs. She was 18 1/2 inches long. Hope you all enjoy the pictures. :) Thanks again for all the sweet messages everyone has left! Lots of Love!

Week 35

Wow, I am finally posting something new on the blog!! Sorry it has taken me forever, but I have been so busy with school and trying to get the baby room all in order. So let us catch you up on everything that has taken place the past month. We had an amazing baby shower on August 30th and it took us two weeks to organize all her new goodies in her room. :) But we are finally finished!! Yeah! Thanks again for all the wonderful gifts, she is going to love them!! We had another doctor's appointment on Tuesday the 15th and everything went great. I am measuring exactly 35 weeks and her heart rate was in the 140's. My next visit is on Sep. 29th and then he will schedule a sonogram to see how big she is. I will then have to start going to the doctor every week. We can't believe she will be here in about 4 or 5 weeks. Oh, by the way, Derik is officially back at home working in Ft. Worth again! He made it back just in time for the baby and to give me foot massages every night! I also put him to work putting all the baby furniture together. He has been such a trooper because as soon as he got back he put everything together for me and has been so much help. Well, I hope everyone is doing well and I will try and do better the next four weeks of updating the blog. We will definitely let everyone know when she gets here!! Take care!

3D Sonogram Pictures

Here is one of her 3D sonogram pictures. She was being really stubborn the whole time because she would never move her hands from her mouth. She also had everything surrounded by her face. But it was a fun experience and we enjoyed getting to see her a little better. We can't wait until October!! Enjoy!

Belly Week 30

Dr.'s Appointment

Today we went in for another regular check-up and everything sounded great! Her heartbeat was in the 150's and when he measured my belly I am exactly where I should be (28 1/2 weeks). She is definitely getting bigger and she continues to kick and punch all day! She has tons of energy and loves keeping me up at night. Well, since we are in the last trimester we have to start going to the doctor every two weeks. So our next appointment is August 17th. We will keep you updated and let you know how everything is going, so keep checking in. Hope everyone is doing well!

Week 28 Belly

Hey Everyone,

Well, we are officially starting the third trimester. I can't believe it!! It has gone by soooo fast. We have another doctor's appointment on Monday, August the 3rd. I will definitely let you all know how it goes on Monday. This month we have been busy getting all the baby furniture put together and we went to Babies R Us to register. Derik had a blast getting to do all that. I told him it would only take an hour to register, but it ended up taking 4 hours. Ooops!! He was such a trooper and loved all the PINK!! I took some pictures of the baby room as well, but we haven't finished yet. I will take more when we get it all done. She is still just BABY "Patton" because we are still deciding on a name. Hopefully we will have a name before she is born. I hope everyone is doing well!

Week 24

Well, we had another check-up with the doctor today and everything went great! We got to hear the heartbeat again and it sounded really strong. He also measured my stomach and I was measuring exactly at 24 weeks. She has been moving around a lot more here lately and she has been kicking so much. What an amazing feeling!! I know everyone is still very anxious to find out her name, but we still aren't exactly sure yet. We have narrowed it down to Emma and Abigail. But who knows we are still so indecisive. As soon as we decide we will let you know. Thanks again for all the sweet comments and for voting on the name you liked. Love to you all!!

Week 20 Belly

Week 20 (Sonogram Pictures)

Well, we had another regular check-up with the doctor yesterday and everything went great! The nurse went over the songram pictures and said everything looked fine and then we got to hear the heartbeat again. She has been moving around a lot more here lately and it is amazing to feel the flutters in my stomach! It seems like she is already full of energy!! Enjoy the pictures. The first picture shows that she is definitely a little girl, because there is nothing between her legs. The next picture shows her face and she kept posing at us the entire time.

It's a GIRL!!

Well, we had our sonogram on Friday and they said 150% sure it is a little girl! Yeah!! We are so excited and already went shopping for lots of pink clothes. Of course I told Derik to go pick out his favorite girl outfit and he brought back a Texas Rangers and Longhorn onesie. I told him to go find it in pink and then it would work. We really appreciate everyone who participated in the survey and all the sweet comments you all have been leaving on the blog. Get ready to help us out with the name survey in a few days. Week 17

Sorry it has taken us forever to update our blog, but we have both been so busy with school and work. I promise, I will try and do better when summer comes because I won't have an excuse then. Well, yesterday we had our regular check up and everything sounded great. We were able to hear the heartbeat again and the heart rate was between 150 and 155 bpm. Our next sonogram will be on Friday, May 29th and we will get to find out if we are having a little girl or boy! Yeah!! We can't wait! Enjoy the picture! I'm getting bigger. Belly, Butt :( , Boobs :), and all!

Hearing the Heartbeat!!

Well, today we had a doctor's appointment at 11:00 and we were able to hear the heartbeat. It was truly amazing!! The heart rate was at 160 bpm and the nurse said everything sounded great! We have attached the video for you to hear. Enjoy!! :)

Week 12

I am 12 weeks and 3 days in this picture. I am starting to get a little baby bump. Yeah!! We are both so excited, because tomorrow we go back to the doctor to hear the heartbeat for the first time.

Meeting Dr. Froeschke

On Friday, March 13th we got to meet Dr. Froeschke. It was so exciting to meet him for the first time. We both really enjoyed him and he answered all of our questions and was very informative. He did another sonogram and we were able to see our little pride and joy on the monitor. The baby has now matured from a grain of rice to the size of a peanut. Yeah!! He said we were about 8 weeks along.

Well, yesterday we had our first sonogram. While the baby was only the size of a grain of rice we could still see the Heartbeat! Very exciting! The expected due date has not changed, it still looks like October 16.
